Our Winter Garden

June 14, 2014 @ 07:00 By Gavin Webber 7 Comments

As part of Ben’s media studies, I tasked him to shoot a video of our winter garden and fruit trees.

It was his first time with the video camera and tripod, and I think he did a pretty good job.  I performed the editing and voice over, as that is his lesson for next week.

Let Ben know what you think of his videography skills.  I am sure he would love to read your comments.

Awesome video these kids and their talents with the computer makes me envious , when I need anything done I usually have to wait for the kids to get home from school to do it for me ,

Truth be known Sharon, I did the editing and transitions. Ben is learning that part next week!

For a first time effort you did an amazing job Ben. The music in the background really suited the scene and i also enjoyed the page turners (what do you call them?) especially the bee – very appropriate. I think you speed at which you moved was correct and also when you entered a dark area you managed to lighten it (somehow). The lemonade tree was certainly a feature and i’m very envious. Look forward in a couple of weeks to having a fully produced “Ben” video. That Dad of yours gets way too much media exposure already. LOL. Lynda.

Great video and very nice job on holding each shot so we can study it a bit. (So many people use a “garden hose” approach, panning too fast and then whipping on to the next one. Argh!) Nice morning light, too.
