Tiny House Film

October 29, 2013 @ 22:46 By Gavin Webber 2 Comments

I was approached the other day by Jeremy Beasley, a local film maker from Melbourne who is making a film about Tiny Houses.  Here is what he had to say;

Hey Gavin,

Hope you’re recovering well from the beer making day yesterday!
My name is Jeremy and I’m a filmmaker from Melbourne. For the last couple of months I’ve been working on a feature length documentary about the tiny house movement. Exploring the ideas of living small, sustainably & consciously.

Right now we have a Pozible page up with plenty of info on the documentary and thought your readers could be really interested in finding out about the film.

If you’re interested in including it on your blog, please let me know how I can make the writing process easy for you. I’m happy to send more hi-res photos and anything else you might need.

Thanks for taking the time for checking it out. More info is here: pozible.com/tinyhousefilm
Cheers,
Jeremy

You know what?  I liked his proposal and the trailer so much that I chipped in US$20 to help the film along to completion.  I don’t do this for everyone, just those who I think have a hopeful message to spread.
Here is a snippet of the video; http://vimeo.com/76514066

Just think, if more people lived in a tiny house, they wouldn’t have a massive mortgage, or have to fill it with heaps of stuff, therefore lowering their cost of living, and be debt free very quickly.

Looking forward to watching the completed documentary in September 2014.  It’s not to late to chip in if you think this is worth a few bucks.

    I love the tiny house movement and although we don’t exactly live in a tiny house the movement definitely influenced our move to a smaller house. And by McMansion standards I guess our house is pretty small. 🙂
    True tiny houses may not be for everyone but smaller housing did just fine for the larger families of our ancestors so why do we feel the need to have a bedroom per child, plus a home studio, 2 or even more living spaces and all the rest? Vivia la tiny house movement! 🙂

      and here i was hoping for my own tiny house at the bottom of the garden, living with the fairies and the pixies and lots of book.
