I saw the whole thing last night on tv, it was very cool! Love the chooks and all the fruit trees. And I’m going to try that earwig trap, was it just olive oil in the bottom of the jar?

    Hi Cat,

Yes, just 2cm of olive oil, the cheaper the better.

Gavin you are a legend! I can’t watch this on TV so thanks for posting the links, I really enjoyed them.

I LOVE seeing real people doing real gardening in ‘normal’ streets and gardens – so much more inspirational than fancy-pants TV gardening shows that just make you feel inferior to their ‘better gardens’ 😉

Keep up the fantastic work and well done to you and your family.
I’m off to dig and plant seeds!
    Lisa 🙂

    Hi Gavin,
I just started reading your blog about 2 weeks ago, and I really enjoyed seeing your garden.

I’m going to be making cheese soon, so found your videos really helpful.

Thank you Gavin, I enjoyed watching these videos.

I love the signs your wife painted, adds a nice touch.

Hopefully this will inspire more people to live a similar lifestyle.

what a fantastic episode Gavin, I loved seeing what you do live. I’m off to make up some of those earwig traps, I can’t believe how many earwigs we have around here.
