How To Make Cream Cheese – Video Tutorial

July 15, 2013 @ 21:15 By Gavin Webber 2 Comments

Who loves this cheese?

I know that my family does, especially when I managed to create some cheese logs.

The left hand logs are rolled in re-hydrated chives and onions with a sprinkle of cracked black pepper, and the right hand logs are rolled in Italian herb mix with a sprinkle of sweet paprika.  Kim and I had a little of each last night with plain water crackers and the taste was divine.  Kim said I could sell them, no problems at all.

Both are delicious, just like those herbed cheese rolls that you buy over the cheese counter at your local deli.
However, you get these logs and a big tub of cream cheese for just $8.50 in ingredients and no special equipment required!  You can even use it to make the perfect cheese cake.  Impressive or what?

Anyway, on with the video.  It was filmed over two days, as it is a long yet simple process.  If you after a copy of the video and the recipe, you can find it at this post over on Little Green Cheese, or (and I am going to be cheeky) purchase a copy of my cheese making eBook titled “Keep Calm and Make Cheese“, which contains all of my cheese making recipes and techniques.

Also, dear readers, I realise that I have been very cheesy of late on this blog, but when you have one week of annual leave up your sleeve (last week), you do all the things you love doing but don’t normally have the time.  For me it was making lots of cheese and some gardening.

All great fun.  Enjoy your cream cheese!

Thanks for the feedback Lynn. I really do enjoy making the tutorials. It must be the old navy radio instructor in me.
