Kim joins me on the show this week and during this episode we delve into what is working in our sustainable lifestyle and what is not.
We cover such topics as non laying chickens and short showers on a cold morning, to going on holidays using Google Maps, loving homebrew beer, homemade cheese, and real food.
As always, we have a great time on the show and hope you will join us for a few laughs at the lighter side of sustainable living!

That was lovely hearing Kims opinion on your lifestyle – and I got my order today – thank you!. We are very remote here so overnight is not one overnight but two or three – anyway – my chesse cultures are now nicely stocked away in the fridge and freezer. Thank you so much for the soy melt and tea light – Just the smell from the closed package is amazing. Oh dear – I can see another hobby starting up!

You’re most welcome Gillian! I was tracking the order out of interest to see how long it would take via express post. Two days was pretty good considering the distance from Melton!
Hope your cheese turns out well! x

Hi Kim,
Maybe you could bucket the water out of the bath to flush the loo or water the garden? Or maybe grey water diversion could be a project for the future?
I also really related to your feelings about the fact that everybody else is just carrying on as usual. Seeing all the people at the supermarket with a trolley full of plastic bags really makes you wonder why people don’t care more and take action more.
Connecting with like-minded souls reminds me that changes are underway but some are just slower to move than others! And as Gav said, when things do get tough those of us who’ve lived sustainably for a long time will be in less pain than those who stuck their heads in the sand.
