Teddy Helps Plant Broad Beans

June 2, 2015 @ 22:06 By Gavin Webber 4 Comments

We have two dogs on our suburban farm, both being rescued from the pound.  Holly the Australian Terrier/something cross, and Teddy the West Highland Terrier.  They are lovely little dogs that keep us company.

Teddy is the more curious of the two dogs, so likes to help me in the garden.  It was no exception when I was planting my broad beans the other day.

So let me take you on a little photo journey.

So much for helping me in the garden 😉  Thanks Teddy for making sure that my work was up to your standard!

His coat is really thick, and his skin gets irritated if he wears a coat. Loves sitting in the sun though on a cold winters day!

    What a gorgeous little dog!

Gavin you are an inspiration and I love listening to your podcasts every week. I’m a long time listener but first time poster and I would be really interested to find out how you manage to keep your dogs sustainably. I have a pup too and its a struggle to get products that are truly sustainable for them – especially the doggie bags.
Looking forward to you next podcast!

Hi Liza. Great question. The doggie bags were easy to solve. There is a biobag that we use when we clean up after them. Then I throw it into a special worm farm. The only thing you have to watch for is that you don’t feed the worms for a week after the dogs have had their worming tablet.
