Green Lifestyle Awards 2014

September 30, 2014 @ 21:21 By Gavin Webber Leave a Comment

logo-bigNot wanting to sound big-headed but my term as Green Lifestyle Awards 2013 – Local Green Hero is coming to an end.

The new recipient will be announced at the awards ceremony on Thursday 16th October, whereby I hand over the baton via a pre-recorded video message.  I know who it is, but am sworn to secrecy.  Mums the word until the 17th.

I was invited to attend, however due to work commitments, and wanting to keep my carbon footprint low, I graciously declined the invitation.  It was a bit too far to travel to Sydney for a two-hour ceremony.

So I am very excited for the next Local Green Hero, because this year has been so much fun for me.  So many opportunities, and so much greening.  Like the Climate Reality Leadership Corps.  I am sure that it certainly helped my chances when I added the Green Lifestyle award to the application form.

I will record the video over the weekend which will document some of the great things that have happened during the year.  Look out for the announcement and the video soon.  I will post them both the day after the awards night.

Congratulations to all those who have been nominated and good luck on the night!
