TGoG Podcast 072 – Growing Organically with Kathy Finigan

July 9, 2014 @ 18:00 By Gavin Webber 3 Comments

I put out an invitation via my Facebook page for podcast guests the other day, and a lovely lady called Kathy Finigan replied.  She is passionate about sustainable living and she is a qualified in agricultural science, urban horticultural and permaculture.  A handy person to have around, so I asked her to be my guest on the show. [spp-player] She has been a TAFE teacher for 29 years teaching general Horticulture, permaculture, organic gardening and  sustainability, but her passion is, and has always been growing organic food.

We talk in-depth at the sorts of things she grows, and about her website My Productive Backyard.  It is a wonderful site, that is a sustainable living newbies delight.  She has many, many courses available for download (for a very small fee).  Kathy also has a blog (link below) with lots of free information about how to grow your own veggies at home.

No problems Kathy. It was great to talk to another like minded person who grows their own organic food!
