Back On Deck

July 31, 2013 @ 00:12 By Gavin Webber 8 Comments

Thanks for the well wishes over the last few days.  I received some lovely comments and emails from readers hoping for a speedy recovery.  Sorry for the down in the dumps post on Sunday, but if you are a regular reader, you know that you get warts and all on this blog!

After four days in bed, and one further just resting, I feel much better.  Even after having a flu vaccination, I still managed to catch something like it.

Anyway, I have been busy tonight.  Just finished a wonderful cheese making interview via Skype with Sharon from South Australia for the LGC podcast.  I will finish post-production tomorrow night and have it online for all who would like to listen to it.  With over 2000 listeners per episode, it is getting quite popular.

I have also been re-editing a few of my old cheese making videos with my new editing software (Pinnacle Studio 16 Ultimate) which has some really nice features.  It also processes the final video much much faster.  I am talking about 20 times quicker.  They look much better as well, with new titles and transitions.

So, why am I recutting these videos?  Well, I was approached to teach via a new site called Curious.com.  It is a much better platform than YouTube because you can split the video up into sections, ask questions of the students, add attachments, links and a few other cool things.

I am currently uploading my first lesson which is How to make Parmesan, so will let you know when it is live.

That is all for now.  Until next time, keep green and stay keen!

Gav x

I am Lynda. This is slow for me. Wait until I get stuck into the veggie patch in the same day!
