The Greening of Gavin – eBook Published

June 26, 2012 @ 01:27 By Gavin Webber 32 Comments

How does it feel to have your own book finally published?

Well, let me tell you that it feels fantastic!

It is available for FREE at my eBookstore.

Anyway, it took me over a month to put it together, and it has been a steep learning curve.  Self publishing is not for the faint-hearted.  From reading the style guide, writing (of course), formatting, and now marketing, the self publishing path is really a hands on affair.  You also have to find proof-readers, and edit the manuscript multiple times.
So, there you have it.  My first ebook of many, and I hope you take the time to click on the book cover or the link below it, have a read of the sample, and if you like it please consider purchasing a copy.
Of course if anyone would like to review the book at any of the retailers, this author would be humbled, and is ready for the good, the bad, and the ugly.

I am looking forward to beginning the next eBook!

More than 14,000 words – that’s a lot of writing, though I suppose there are a lot more than that in the blog. Looking forward to getting the book and having a good read – well done, mate!

If the cover is anything to go by, its going to be good read. You say “took me over a month” as if that is slow. I can’t imagine writing a book in less than a year. Well done, I hope it provides a bit of financial support to reward you for the great work you are doing.

Cheers Jason. Well, I thought a month was a long time. You should have seen me slaving over the keyboard, night after night! It was fairly short, at 14,400 words and 10 chapters, but well rounded. Thanks for the support.

So awesome! Congratulations! I can tell you with complete honesty that I know of what you speak. It’s quite a moment to see it in print, isn’t it? Almost like having a baby ;).

Nearly like having a baby, and from what my wife tells me there is just about the same learning curve during the first pregnancy. So many things to learn and not enough time!

I bought it this morning. I was familiar with your story, having been a reader of your blog for quite some time now but it was nice to see it all put together in once place. A terrific idea and a great little book. (PS – I reviewed it too. five stars! 🙂
