A Subversive Plot

February 6, 2012 @ 17:30 By Gavin Webber 6 Comments

Whilst we are on the food gardening theme, I thought it would be a good opportunity to post this TED video.  It is presented by Roger Doiron, founding director of Kitchen Gardeners International,  who gives one of the best presentations arguing the many, many, many benefits of backyard food gardening.

He is a man after my own heart.  Roger says, “Gardens grow good food”.  A great mantra to live by!

You can find out more about Kitchen Gardeners International at their website.  This organisation is the one that prompted (more like cajoled) US First Lady, Michelle Obama to plant her very own kitchen garden in the White House grounds.

A true Victory Garden in every sense of the word.  Just brilliant!

Thanks Gavin. I enjoyed that, but it scared the hell out of me at the same time… That is a lot of food to grow in the next 50 years!
    Regards

    Gavin,

I can’t remember where I got this link (maybe from here), but it is very disturbing. It sounds like lunacy. Can it be real?
