Our Prime Minister’s own words. In the same speech, he said “….When you strip away all the political rhetoric, all the political excuses, there are two stark choices – action or inaction.”
Well, thanks Mr Rudd. Inaction is what you have given us in the form of a useless and delayed ETS. Thanks for putting climate change in the too hard basket. Last time your words of action was an election winner, so I dare say that your inaction will become and election looser!
There are lots of us out here that are really frustrated with this decision.
That said I don’t expect this to be an election looser for Rudd. I think he is going to come out on top as the lesser of two evils.
Kind Regards
Belinda
I am so enjoying your blog Gavin. Well done. I’m now working my way through the “back editions” and just wish I had more time to get up to date!
Keep it up, its inspiring.

@ belinda
I agree. The more people I talk to the more I find angry people who are very disappointed with this policy change.
@ Heidi,
Glad you are enjoying the blog. Take your time, as there is lots of information to absorb.

I’m hoping for the Greens to get balance of power in the Senate after the next election — if it happens, it will be fairly clear what the nation wants. I’ve spoken to two PV sellers in the past few weeks who tell me community interest is very high, so all this decision has done is made people focus on what they can do themselves, rather than wait for the govt to do it.
Not unhappy to see the prospect of the Continue Polluting Regardless Scheme becoming law decline, but very unhappy that no alternative is being sought. The PM is definitely KRudd as far as I’m concerned!
