Copenhagen has been and gone and nothing of any worth has been accomplished. The inaction of our representatives proved to be a sad day for the world. However, it may well be catastrophic for our future.

If what we saw in Copenhagen is an example of strong action then there is no hope for the inhabitants of this planet.

To those who thought only of themselves and their own interests, Shame on You.

There are those of us who are trying our best to make a difference but we are constantly been let down by those are meant to represent us, lead us and help leave the world a better place for future generations, not wreck it.

Your best is not good enough.

We are foolish indeed to be entrusting the future of the human race to a bunch of western politicians whose agendas are ruled by an out of date economic model and being in power. Blogs like yours, Gavin, do a great job of talking straight to the people, who I think, are our only means of change.

Enough games. Enough media spin. Time to honour the election promises you made and do something positive and meaningful to combat climate change.

And how about stopping the games about who has the highest "total emissions". Of course a developing country with more than a billion people (most of whom live in what we in Australia would call poverty) will have high total emissions. But the important thing for you to recognise is that Australia is one of the world's highest per capita greenhouse gas emitters and has a legacy of many decades of emissions above those of most other countries - and do something commensurate with that unfortunate situation.

Please, so something meaningful or get out of the way.
