Green Videos With A Message

Who likes a good message?

I have been scouring the net for green videos with a message that hit home.  Here are a few of my favourites that I found.

Blue Man Group on Climate Change.

Flashmob Recycling.

Eddsworld on Climate Change for kids. Ben put me onto this vid!

How not to prepare for Peak Oil with Post Peak Oil Man. This one is a bit weird.

And finally, Tim Robson's edible garden featured on Gardening Australia. My new suburban food growing hero.

I think I like the last message the best!

Which one do you like?

  1. Tim Robson is my suburban gardening hero too Gavin (and he only lives 15 mins from my house...although has 3-4 times more space than me). I have taken on his tip of the organza bags for fruit fly protection (but I buy them in bulk online) - and they work a treat. BTW - I love the flashmob vid too.

  2. Great videos Gavin. You're right about that 4th one, definitely weird but none the less effective with its message. The final video made me a little nostalgic. Pete Cundall was (and still is) an amazing gardener and huge inspiration to me. I would avidly watch Gardening Australia for a glimpse of him and his veggie beds down in Tassie.

  3. I really liked the Blue Man Group video, it had some punch. A long standing favourite "green" video is Annie Leonard's "The Story of Stuff": http://www.storyofstuff.org/movies-all/story-of-stuff/. When I was looking for it to give you the link, I came across this little gem from Bill McKibben: http://www.yesmagazine.org/planet/the-fight-against-fossil-fuel-giants-is-the-fight-of-our-time.

  4. I love that flash mob video, hilarious!I think I would have curled up and died of embarassment in her position! Have never heard of Tim Robson before, but I love what he's done with his garden. I have a new allotment, and if it EVER stops raining in the UK, I aim to achieve something similar. I hope!
